Whether it is Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability,
or a Personal Injury Claim,
social media is a VIRTUAL DANGER ZONE for your case.
Insurance carriers use social media posts as evidence against you.
You are advised to:
- STOP posting on social media
- STOP being tagged in social media posts.
All of us here at The Law Offices of Joseph A. Romano, P.C.
understand that quitting social media can be a challenge.
Please welcome guest blogger “Brian”, a former client who quit
social media with surprisingly happy results.

Connecting with others on social media had become a habit while I was laid up at home with a back injury.
I liked all the “likes” that I got on Facebook.
For example: I posted an old photo of myself swinging a golf club. Even though I don’t play golf anymore since my back injury, and it was clearly an old picture, friends commented with congratulations, as if my back was all better, which was not the truth.
One day my attorney Joe Romano sent a letter warning me that social media is fair game for insurance companies to use as evidence against my case.
Joe’s letter made a real difference.
Worrying about stopping social media from ruining my personal injury case caused me to lose sleep.”
For help, I called in a “social media expert.
My kid deleted all social media apps from my cell phone and installed parental restrictions on our family personal computer with passwords kept secret to me.
Quitting social media was hard, but worth it. I sleep much better now.
Hey, Joe I hope my story helps someone?
