Wilbert Ramos has been a litigator for over thirty-four (34) years, specializing in Plaintiff personal injury in the areas of motor vehicle, slip and falls, trip and falls, legal malpractice, premises liability, products liability, labor law, wrongful death, and municipal liability. He handles cases from investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial.
He graduated from Manhattan College with a BA (History and English, minor-Philosophy) in 1980. Before going to law school, he worked as a clerk in a general law practice firm of Salzman and Salzman, Brooklyn, New York.
In 1984, he graduated from SUNY at Buffalo Law School and was admitted to practice in the First Department of the State of New York in June 1985. Mr. Ramos has since been admitted to both the Eastern and Southern United States District Courts, and also to the Supreme Court of the United States. He is also a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Ramos has tried negligence cases in the counties of Bronx, Queens, Kings, Orange, Dutchess, and Erie. He has also done Summary Jury trials in Westchester County, Dutchess County, and Erie County. Mr. Ramos has also settled cases on behalf of his clients, and as of counsel to other attorneys, ranging from $5,000.00 to $150,000.00 to $800,000.00 to $1,400.00 to 2.3 million dollars. He also has experience in the following areas of law: matrimonial, wills, guardianships, real estate, criminal (minor offenses), family (custody, support, and visitation) and appeals.
